About this course

This courseware was designed to help EFL (English as a Foreign Language) or ESL (English as a Second Language) learners with reading comprehension.  It presents, contextualizes, combines, and connects grammatical elements that influence complexities of non-fiction texts.  It is based on a belief that the ability of the learners to identify the major parts of each sentence and other elements that add special meanings to each sentence will enhance their comprehension at the sentence level.   Of course, reading requires the understanding of syntax elements and beyond, which is beyond the scope of this courseware.
