The Objectives

The goal of this courseware is to enable the learners to use their      
knowledge about grammatical elements in the sentence level to
aid their reading comprehension. Upon finishing the following lessons on Participles, you should be able to:

 
  • Name the three types of participles and identify their forms and
    functions correctly (at least 80%);
  • Choose the right forms of participles for given sentences (at least 80%);

  • Choose the right forms of participles in contexts (at least 80%);

  • Identify the subject and the main verb(s) for given sentences correcly (at least 80%);

  • Identify participles used in authentic texts of your choices (at least 80% correctly); and

  • Answer comprehension questions about given paragraphs 80% correctly.
